# Embracing Existence: A Philosophical Approach to Feeling Lost

Written on

Chapter 1: The Search for Meaning

In the quest to understand existence, one can easily find themselves spiraling into endless questions. I vividly recall my initial philosophy class during my first year of college; it felt akin to giving a child an explosive toy.

“Here you go! Have fun!”

Initially, I was exhilarated by the vast array of philosophical inquiries. I eagerly delved into questions such as: How does gravity function? What is the nature of time? What lies at the universe's edge? Who or what initiated it all? Why is there anything at all?

However, as I continued my exploration—taking more classes, reading extensively, and engaging in deep discussions—I found myself increasingly despondent. It dawned on me that every answer seemed to lead to further questions. Still, my curiosity was insatiable.

The profound exploration of philosophy had shattered the constraints of my creative mind, and the enigma of existence was pushing me toward the brink of despair.

Section 1.1: A Moment of Clarity

In the summer of 2019, while tinkering with my typewriter, I stumbled upon a phrase that resonated deeply: “All of life is at one with itself.”

Though it felt somewhat clumsy, there was an intriguing completeness to it—like the philosophical loops I had been ensnared in since college, finally converging into a singular concept.

This idea proposes that life lacks an external reason for being; it is self-evident and exists within its own rationale.

Instead of asking, “Why write?” one might simply affirm, “I am writing.”

Stop searching for elusive answers in the atomic realm. Life exists, and if it didn’t, it simply would not be!

Section 1.2: Seeking Further Insights

To deepen your understanding of these concepts, I recommend watching insightful videos that address the philosophical dilemmas we often encounter.

Chapter 2: Videos for Reflection

The first video, titled Why We're Fated To Feel Lost - The Philosophy Of Albert Camus, delves into existential themes and how they relate to feelings of disorientation in life. It offers a compelling perspective on navigating these philosophical waters.

The second video, Harvard Professor REVEALS Why You Feel LOST & UNHAPPY In Life | Arthur Brooks on Impact Theory, provides insights into the psychological aspects of feeling lost and offers practical advice for regaining a sense of purpose and happiness.
