Exciting NFT Conferences to Attend in 2023: A Global Guide

Written on

The Rise of NFT Conferences

Although NFTs remain a niche interest for a select group, a number of significant conferences have emerged recently. Many of these events debuted in 2022, with an even greater number slated for the upcoming year.

Before we delve into the details, it's important to highlight that the events mentioned here will focus exclusively on NFTs. They will not encompass broader topics like web3, blockchain, or cryptocurrency. I may compile a separate guide addressing those subjects soon.

That being said, NFTs represent a vast and complex topic that a single conference may struggle to encapsulate fully. I anticipate the emergence of more specialized NFT events, each concentrating on specific areas such as gaming, art, digital collectibles, or avatar projects.

Nonetheless, I remain optimistic that the major conferences listed below will continue to thrive. Let’s explore this curated selection, which is not influenced by personal preferences or travel plans. I’ll share which events excite me the most as we go along.

NFT Paris

Dates: Feb 24–25, 2023 | Location: Paris | Learn more

NFT Paris stands out as one of the conferences I am most eager to attend, not only for its accessibility to Europeans like myself but also for its stunning venue, the Grand Palais Éphémère, located at the base of the Eiffel Tower. I’ve yet to visit, but it appears to be the perfect setting for an art-related gathering in Paris.

Three notable speakers at NFT Paris include Erick Calderon (Art Blocks), Greg Solano (Yuga Labs), and Nelly Mensah (LVMH). The speaker lineup boasts key figures from leading NFT brands like Art Blocks, Yuga Labs, and LVMH, as well as talented artists such as Claire Silver and Tom Sachs. I’m genuinely impressed by what NFT Paris has planned and hope to participate.

A unique initiative at NFTLA is the Meta Pass, which provides online and metaverse access to all in-person content, allowing those who can’t attend to still engage with the event.

NFT MELBOURNE is a smaller, one-day event filled with workshops, panels, and networking opportunities. Given Australia’s status as a hotspot for NFTs, a strong turnout is expected.
