It's time for a proper introduction — and some honesty! My name is Neela, and I hail from Trinidad, a beautiful Caribbean island. I made the move to the United States in 2003, and leaving behind my pet macaws was an emotional experience. Now, my only companions are the dust bunnies that collect under my couch.
I’m not a fan of superficial coffee chats, but I do enjoy sipping on a good cup of coffee. As an introvert, it’s not you; it’s just how I navigate the world. I function on just 3–4 hours of sleep a night, which leaves me with ample time to indulge in my hobbies like jewelry making and storytelling.
The pineapple-on-pizza debate? Let’s just say I’m firmly against it. I grew up in a devout Hindu household, which led me to explore various religions extensively. Today, I identify as agnostic. Personal branding? It gives me a headache, and I’m indifferent about leaving a legacy. My philosophy is simple: I don’t stress over the big or small things — we all have to go someday!
Chapter 2: By Day and By Night
During the day, I wear many hats as a Fractional COO, adept at transforming chaos into structured success. With over two decades of experience in tech, fashion, and interior design, I've discovered that success resembles a well-crafted cocktail — it requires the right ingredients.
My work spans a variety of startups, from the underdogs to those favored by venture capitalists. I've witnessed it all: the triumphs, the setbacks, and everything in between.
