Embracing Change: My Monthly Reset Reflection Journey
Written on
Chapter 1: The Importance of Reflection
In this article, I will delve into my experiences from the past month—the highs and lows—because I believe that reflecting on our experiences is crucial for personal growth.
I've taken the opportunity to contemplate everything that transpired—the joyous moments alongside those that were less uplifting. This reflection allows me to gain clarity in my life and fosters a pursuit of inner peace.
One of my proudest achievements this month has been my commitment to writing. For the last 31 days, I have penned my thoughts daily. In fact, I've probably published more articles in these past six weeks than I have throughout my entire writing journey. I don't mean to sound boastful, but I feel a deep sense of pride in my progress.
Writing is not just a hobby for me; it is my passion and my purpose. It grounds me and gives me the freedom to express myself on subjects I care deeply about. I have no intention of stopping this creative outlet.
Additionally, I have maintained my workout routine with remarkable consistency. I'm still following the Push-Pull-Legs (PPL) split, gradually increasing both my repetitions and the weights I lift. Exercising has become an enjoyable escape where I can immerse myself in engaging podcasts and temporarily forget about life's stresses.
The first video titled "Monthly Reset Checklist Make One That Works" offers insightful tips to create an effective monthly reset plan. This can be a great companion to your reflection journey.
Chapter 2: F1 and New Friendships
This month has revolved heavily around Formula 1 racing. With three or four races taking place, I made up for lost time during my exams when I could barely watch any of them. Through my love for F1, I've also connected with some fantastic new friends, although I must say, a few of them are Liverpool supporters, which I can tolerate.
Moreover, I've spent considerable time in cafes, simply enjoying the atmosphere while sipping hot chocolate—these moments have been delightful. Nature has called to me as well, prompting numerous walks and bike rides, though not as many as I would have liked due to the frequent rain.
Playing football has often turned into a wet affair, with rain pouring down unexpectedly, feeling like I was under a waterfall. Yet, last night, as I cycled home drenched and shivering, I felt an exhilarating sense of freedom and joy—alive in that moment.
The second video, "MONTHLY RESET ROUTINE: Goal-Setting, Cleaning, & Self-Care," complements the theme of rejuvenation and planning for the future.
Chapter 3: Celebrating Pride and Personal Growth
This year's Pride celebration was particularly focused on trans rights, a cause close to my heart. I felt an overwhelming sense of love and acceptance from countless strangers, a feeling that is challenging to articulate fully.
While I did experience some losses in my relationships, I’ve come to realize that I'm not defined by these absences. I'm content without them. Some individuals enter our lives for a brief moment, leaving an impression, but it's okay when that chapter closes. I cherish the memories, yet I'm grateful for the opportunity to move on.
August is here, and I hope it brings love, joy, friendship, and abundance. I intend to release limiting beliefs and fears, stepping out of my comfort zone to embrace new challenges.
This month marks my last full free month for quite a while. While I eagerly anticipate returning to school, I plan to savor every moment of August, relishing in youthful adventures and spontaneity. I sincerely hope this month doesn't slip away unnoticed.
In closing, I believe that Taylor Swift's "Folklore" is her finest album—just look at the lyrics!
